I am alive and well

i was in hawaii. it was love <3 <3 <3.  surfing. tropics. iz kamakawiwole. everybody spoke japanese.  everything is tokyo price though.

now back in tokyo..

and then i was busy with a lot of things. for one,  i have to repeat elementary level 3 japanese. :(and then i have to go to hello work..

and then i read. i don't read fantasy at all but a friend lent me A Game of Thrones . I'm in the second book. Read it, it's highly recommended. Aside from these ..

Books I have read over the last 3 weeks+ (and im arrogant enough to rate them =D) :

1. the Lacuna by barbara kingsolver ****

2. With Their Backs to The World: Portraits of Serbia by Asne Seierstad. **

3. Handle with Care by Jodi Picoult ***

4. Superman by tom de haven ***

Several years ago, my credit card was cut because of debts buying books. Now i settle for second/ third/ fourth hand copies.

Interesting movies I have seen :

1. Mr Nobody by Jaco Van Dormael ****

2. Jackie Brown by Quentin Tarantino ***

3. Machete Robert Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis ** (so, lindsay lohan still has a career??)

4. Hedwig and the angry inch by John Cameron Mitchell ***

5. the joneses  by Derrick Bort **

6. true romance by Quentin Tarantino ***

7. taxidermia by György Pálfi * sick sick sick!

8. estomago by Marcos Jorge ****

9. inception by chris nolan *** i love movies about reality.

im sure ive seen a lot more - i just cant remember of theyre not worth mentioning.

aside from that, i;m always busy going around. last week, i went to this market in ueno. i was shocked by what i saw. we never see these things in the neighborhood supermarket! my husband says it's called "suppon" in japanese (it's also kame, but suppon is the type you eat), and quite expensive too.
